Description:

The intercooler is installed between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. The goal of an intercooler is to cool down the air that has been heated up by the turbocharger. By cooling the compressed air, a higher mass of air can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, resulting in increased performance and efficiency. The lower the temperature of the charged air, the lower the thermal load on the engine and the turbocharger, as the latter requires less speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is reduced and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust emission values, provided that the engine control unit is adjusted accordingly. It should be ensured that the intercooler receives as much driving wind as possible. These coolers can be used for turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. When selecting an intercooler, care should be taken to ensure that it is not too large for the engine, as this can negatively affect responsiveness. It should also not be too small. The intercooler offered here is completely made of aluminum with cast housings, has five attachment points with M8 threads, and features a bar and plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
