    Description:

    The upgraded charge air cooler is installed in the wheel arch, between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. It is a direct replacement for the original cooler. The purpose of a charge air cooler is to cool down the air that has been heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, a larger mass of air can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, resulting in increased performance and efficiency. A lower charge air temperature reduces the thermal load on the engine and the turbocharger, as the turbocharger requires less RPM to achieve the same mass of air. Additionally, fuel consumption is reduced and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust values, provided that the engine control unit is adjusted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the charge air cooler receives sufficient airflow. These coolers can be used on both turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. When selecting a charge air cooler, it is important to choose one that is not too large for the engine, as this can negatively affect response, but it should also not be too small. The charge air cooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with molded tanks and features a bar and plate core design, making it ideal for motorsport and tuning applications. Every charge air cooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
