Turbochargers

The heart of the 1.8 TFSI or 2.0 TFSI apart from the engine is the Turbocharger. We offer various upgrade Turbochargers such as the K04-064 with a larger compressor wheel, turbine wheel, and reinforced wastegate actuator plug and play, because weaker actuators cannot maintain boost pressure beyond a certain level and start to flutter, hence stronger wastegate actuators are needed. As a general rule, from an opening pressure of 0.5 Bar, the actuator can achieve a holding pressure of about 1.3 Bar and then starts to flutter. This allows for a maximum of 300HP. The turbocharger looks almost identical to the original. We have original BorgWarner in our range as well as our own brand "Turbo-parts.de" which we have been successfully selling for over 13 years. These are all finely balanced and have a long service life. In order for the turbocharger to get enough exhaust gases, a corresponding large exhaust manifold is needed. For conversions with universal turbochargers like the GT28 Turbo or GT30 etc., a manifold with the appropriate T25 or T3 flange is required, which we also offer.

Just having a turbocharger is not enough. Of course, the surrounding parts also need to be exchanged to extract the optimal performance from the engine.

Exhaust Technology

To generate as little backpressure as possible, Downpipes with a larger pipe diameter, e.g., 76mm, are required to relieve the turbo and create less backpressure. We also offer these with TÜV and with 200 cell or 100 cell sports catalytic converters.

To achieve a sonorous sound and to allow enough exhaust gases to escape, we have various Sports Exhaust Systems generally from Simons from Sweden with EC approval, meaning they do not need to be registered and can be legally used on the road.

Intake

With upgrade turbochargers or performance-enhanced engines, the original intake hoses often collapse leading to power loss. We offer Silicone Hoses e.g., Boost Pressure Hoses that  withstand the performance. To increase airflow, larger Intakes with sports air filters and larger intake manifolds ensure optimal breathing. For specific conversions like the K04-064 53049880064 Turbo on a Golf 6 GTI, a Blow-off Valve (BOV) Conversion Kit is needed.

Power Transmission

To transfer the power to the road, Sports Clutches are essential. We have complete kits with single mass flywheels, pressure plates, friction disc with organic material, and release bearing that are also roadworthy, sprung sinter metal discs are also suitable for the road while unsprung are recommended for motorsport only.

Cooling

To get cool air into the engine a larger Intercooler Kit or an upgrade Intercooler is required, as cooler air is denser and contains more air mass which again leads to more power. Especially in summer or on longer highway drives, this becomes noticeable. We also offer these with TÜV.

Engine Technology

To ensure the engine can withstand certain performances, Forged Pistons and reinforced Connecting Rods are installed. We have had good experiences with JE Pistons and Wiseco.
