Turbochargers
The core of the 1.8 TFSI or 2.0 TFSI is the Turbocharger alongside the engine. We offer differentupgrade turbochargers such as the K04-064 with a larger compressor wheel, turbine wheel, and enhanced pressure canister plug and play, as weaker canisters cannot maintain boost pressure at a certain level and start to flutter thus stronger pressure canisters are needed. As a rule of thumb, from an opening pressure of 0.5 Bar, the canister can achieve a holding pressure of approx. 1.3 Bar and then starts to flutter. With this, up to 300PS is possible. The turbocharger is hardly distinguishable from the original. We offer original Borgwarner as well as our own brand "Turbo-parts.de" which we have been successfully distributing for over 13 years. These are all finely balanced and have a long lifespan. To ensure the turbocharger gets enough exhaust gas, a correspondingly large exhaust manifold is required. For conversions with universal turbochargers such as GT28 Turbo or GT30 etc., a manifold with the matching flange T25 or T3 is needed, which we also offer.
Simply having a turbocharger is not enough. Naturally, the surrounding parts must also be exchanged to extract the optimal performance from the engine.
Exhaust Technology
To generate as little exhaust backpressure as possible, Downpipes with a larger pipe diameter e.g., 76mm are required to relieve the turbo and produce less exhaust backpressure. We also offer them with TÜV and with 200 cell or 100 cell sports catalytic converters.
To achieve a resonant sound and allow enough exhaust gases to escape, we have various sports exhaust systems usually from Simons from Sweden with EU approval, meaning they do not need to be registered and can be legally used on the road.
Intake
For upgrade turbochargers or power-enhanced engines, the original intake hoses tend to collapse leading to power loss. We offer silicone hoses e.g., boost pressure hoses that can withstand the power. To achieve more airflow, larger intakes with sports air filters as well as larger intake manifolds are used for optimal ventilation. For certain conversions such as the K04-064 53049880064 Turbo on a Golf 6 GTI, a blow-off valve (BOV) conversion kit is needed.
Power Transmission
To transfer the power to the street, sports clutches are essential. We have complete kits with single mass flywheels, pressure plates, friction plates with organic material, and release bearings that are also road suitable; sprung sintered metal plates are also suitable for the road, only unsprung ones are more recommended for motorsports.
Cooling
To get cool air into the engine, a larger intercooler kit or an upgrade intercooler is needed, because cooler air is denser and contains more air mass leading to more power. This is especially noticeable in summer or during long highway drives. We also offer these with TÜV.
Engine Technology
To ensure the engine can withstand certain outputs, forged pistons and reinforced connecting rods are installed. We have had good experiences with JE-Pistons and Wiseco.
