Tuning Parts for Audi S3 8L 1.8T
We offer a wide range of tuning parts for the Audi S3 8L. Most parts are plug and play meaning the original part is replaced and the tuning part is installed without modification or with minimal adjustment. This saves a lot of work, money and time.
Turbochargers
The heart of the 1.8T, besides the engine, is the Turbocharger. We offer various upgrade turbochargers such as the K04-023 with a larger compressor wheel, turbine wheel and reinforced actuator or GT2871R plug and play, as weaker actuators may not be able to hold the boost pressure at a certain level and start to flutter, thus stronger actuators are needed. As a rule of thumb, from an opening pressure of 0.5 Bar, the actuator can achieve a holding pressure of about 1.3 Bar before it starts to flutter. With this, a maximum of 300HP is possible. The turbocharger is visually almost indistinguishable from the original. We offer original Borgwarner in our range as well as our own brand „Turbo-parts.de“ which we have been successfully selling for over 13 years. These are all finely balanced and have a long lifespan. To ensure the turbocharger also gets enough exhaust gases, a corresponding large exhaust manifold is required. Here we also have upgrade manifolds with a larger pipe cross-section that are simply swapped with the original manifold. For conversions with universal turbochargers like GT28 Turbo or GT30 etc., a manifold with the appropriate flange T25 or T3 is required, which we also offer. If your exhaust housing for your original turbo or upgrade turbo is cracked/damaged, you can also purchase it from us.
Just having the turbocharger is not enough. Naturally, the surrounding parts must also be exchanged to extract the optimal performance from the engine.
Exhaust Technology
To generate as little exhaust back pressure as possible, Downpipes with a larger pipe diameter e.g., 76mm are required to relieve the turbo and generate less exhaust back pressure. We also offer these with TÜV and with 200-cell or 100-cell sport catalytic converters.
To achieve a sonorous sound and to allow enough exhaust gases to escape, we have various sport exhaust systems typically from Simons from Sweden with EC approval, meaning they don't need to be registered and can be used legally on public roads.
Intake
With upgrade turbochargers or power-enhanced engines, the original intake hoses often collapse, leading to power loss. We offer silicone hoses e.g. intake hoses or boost hoses that can withstand the performance. To achieve more air flow, sports air filters as well as larger intake manifolds provide optimal ventilation. Blow-off valves also known as Pop-Off or SUV are essential for the 1.8T, they must also be closed, otherwise, the air volume meter misses the air diverted to the atmosphere in its calculation. For this reason, open valves are not suited for the 1.8T with original injection system.
Power Transmission
To transfer power to the road, sports clutches are crucial. We have complete kits with single mass flywheel, pressure plate, friction disc with organic lining and release bearing that are also street-legal, spring-loaded sintered discs are also suitable for the street only un-sprung are more recommended for motorsport.
Cooling
To get cool air into the engine a larger intercooler kit or an upgrade intercooler is needed, because cooler air is denser and contains more mass leading to more power. Especially in summer or during prolonged highway drives, this is noticeable. For builds with exchange turbochargers, other oil and water lines are needed. For water cooling, we offer full aluminum radiators that are more stable than the original ones with plastic tanks.
