Description:

The upgrade intercooler is installed at the front, between theturbochargerandintake manifold. It is a direct replacement for the original with a 1:1 exchange. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, a larger air mass can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, thus increasing power and efficiency. The lower the charge air temperature, the less thermal stress on the engine and the turbocharger since it requires less rpm for the same air mass. It also reduces fuel consumption and slightly improves exhaust gas values, provided that the control unit is adjusted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler receives as much oncoming air as possible. The coolers can be used with turbocharged diesel and petrol engines. The offered IC is entirely made of aluminum with cast boxes and has a Barn Plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 Bar before delivery.
