Tuning Parts for Audi TT 8N 1.8T + Quattro and 3.2L Quattro
We offer a broad selection of tuning parts for the Audi TT 8N 1.8T + Quattro and 3.2L Quattro. Most parts are plug and play, i.e., the original part is replaced and the tuning part is reinstalled without modification or with minimal adjustment. This saves a lot of work, money, and time.
Turbochargers
The heart of the 1.8T is the turbocharger in addition to the engine. We offer various upgrade turbochargers like the K04-001 or K04-023 with a larger compressor wheel, turbine wheel and strengthened actuator . Weaker actuators cannot maintain the boost pressure beyond a certain level and start to flutter, hence stronger actuators are needed. As a rule of thumb from an opening pressure of 0.5 bar, the actuator can realize a holding pressure of about 1.3 bar and then starts to flutter. With this up to 300PS are possible. The turbocharger is almost indistinguishable from the original. We offer original Borgwarners as well as our own brand "Turbo-parts.de" that we have been successfully selling for over 13 years. These are all finely balanced and have a long lifespan. To ensure the turbocharger gets enough exhaust gases, a corresponding large exhaust manifold is required. Here we also have upgrade manifolds with a larger pipe cross-section that can be simply exchanged against the original manifold. For conversions with universal turbochargers e.g., GT28 Turbo or GT30 etc., a manifold with the appropriate flange T25 or T3 is required, we also have these in our program. If your exhaust housing for your original turbo or upgrade turbo is cracked/damaged, you can also purchase it from us.
Having just a turbocharger is not enough. Of course, the surrounding parts must also be replaced to achieve optimal engine performance.
Exhaust Technology
To generate as little back pressure as possible, Downpipes with a larger pipe diameter e.g., 76mm are needed, which reduces the load on the turbo and creates less back pressure. We also offer these with TÜV certification and with 200 cell or 100 cell sport catalytic converters.
To achieve a rich sound and to ensure enough exhaust gases can escape, we have various sports exhaust systems usually from Simons from Sweden with EU approval, meaning they do not need to be registered and can be used legally on the roads.
Intake
With upgrade turbochargers or with engine power upgrades, the original intake hoses often collapse leading to performance loss. We offer hoses reinforced with fabric materials Silicone hoses e.g., intake hoses or charge air hoses that withstand the power. To increase airflow, sports air filters and larger intake manifolds are essential for optimal breathing. Blow-off valves also known as Pop-Off or SUV are vital for the 1.8T, they must also be closed, otherwise, the airflow measured by the MAF sensor is missing. For this reason, open valves are not suitable for the 1.8T with original injection system.
Power Transmission
To transfer power to the road, sports clutches are essential. We have complete kits with single mass flywheel, pressure plate, friction plate with organic lining and release bearing that are also suitable for street use, sprung sinter metal discs are also suitable for street use only unsprung are more for motorsport use.
Cooling
To get cool air into the engine, a larger intercooler kit or an upgrade intercooler is needed, as cooler air is denser and contains more air mass which leads to more power. Especially noticeable in summer or during longer highway drives. For conversions with replacement turbochargers, other oil and water lines are needed. For water cooling, we offer all-aluminum radiators that are more durable than the originals with plastic tanks.
Engine Technology
To ensure the engine can withstand certain performances, forged pistons are installed. We have had good experiences with JE-Pistons and Wiseco.
