The functioning is quite simple:

In the closed state, the exhaust gases are directed through the muffler, and once the flap is open, a part goes through a continuous pipe, making the exhaust louder. The pressure-controlled flap is closed in the vacuum area, which then opens as soon as overpressure / boost pressure occurs. A hose is laid from the intake manifold to the overpressure capsule of the flap, or the flap is controlled via a remote control or switch. A pulse valve is installed in the hose.
