Description:
The intercooler kit is installed at the front between turbocharger and intake manifold. It fits the vehicles mentioned above. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burnt, thereby increasing power and efficiency. The lower the charge air temperature, the lower the thermal load on the engine and the turbocharger because it requires less RPM for the same air mass. This also reduces fuel consumption and slightly improves exhaust emissions, provided that the ECU is adjusted accordingly. Its important to ensure the intercooler receives as much airflow as possible. The offered IC kit is completely made of aluminum with cast tanks, has 4 mounting points and a Barn Plate core. A performance of up to approx. 340HP is possible. Ideal for motorsports and tuning. Each intercooler is tested before delivery up to 5 bar.
