- The water cooling reduces the intake air temperature by more than 30°C compared to conventional intercoolers. This results in a 10% increase in power at the same boost pressure. The response is more aggressive due to the short intake air paths.

Description:

The water-cooled intercooler system is installed between the turbocharger and intake manifold. The objective of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated up by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing for more fuel to be burned, resulting in increased power and efficiency. The lower the intake air temperature, the lower the thermal load on the engine and turbocharger, as the turbocharger requires less RPM for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is reduced and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust values, provided the control unit is adjusted accordingly. When using a water-cooled intercooler, it is important to install a large water cooler with pump. The coolers can be used for turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. When selecting a cooler, care should be taken not to choose one that is too large for the engine, as this will affect the response, nor should it be too small. The offered water-cooled intercooler is completely made of aluminum with cast housings and has a bar and plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
