Description:

The intercooler is installed between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. The goal of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, thereby increasing performance and efficiency. The lower the intake air temperature, the lower the thermal load on the engine and turbocharger, as the turbocharger requires less rotational speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced, and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust values, provided the control unit is adapted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler receives as much driving wind as possible. The coolers can be used in turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. When selecting, attention should be paid to ensure that the intercooler is not too large for the engine, as this would affect responsiveness, and it should not be too small either. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum, with cast housings, has five mounting points with M8 threads, and a barn plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
