Description:

The intercooler is installed between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the hot air compressed by the turbocharger. By cooling the compressed air, a larger volume of air can enter the combustion chamber, allowing more fuel to be burned, resulting in increased performance and efficiency. The lower the temperature of the charge air, the lower the thermal stress on the engine and the turbocharger, as it requires less rotational speed for the same volume of air. Fuel consumption is also reduced, and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust gas values, provided that the engine control unit is adjusted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler receives sufficient airflow. The coolers can be used in turbocharged diesel and petrol engines. When selecting an intercooler, care should be taken that it is neither too large nor too small for the engine, as this would negatively affect responsiveness. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast housings, has five mounting points with M8 threads, and features a bar and plate core, making it ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
