Description:

The intercooler is installed between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. The aim of an intercooler is to cool down the hot air compressed by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, increasing power and efficiency. The lower the temperature of the intake air, the less thermal stress on the engine and the turbocharger, as the turbocharger requires less rotational speed for the same air mass. Additionally, fuel consumption is reduced and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust emissions, provided that the engine control unit is adjusted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler receives sufficient airflow. These coolers can be used for turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. When selecting an intercooler, it is important to ensure it is not too large for the engine, as this can negatively affect responsiveness, but also not too small. The intercooler offered here is completely made of aluminum with cast housings, has five M8 threaded mounting points, and a barn plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning.
