Description:

The intercooler is installed between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned. This increases the performance and efficiency. The lower the intake air temperature, the lower the thermal load on the engine and the turbocharger, as the turbocharger requires less speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced, and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust values, provided that the control unit is adjusted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler receives as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used in turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. When choosing, care should be taken that the intercooler is not too large for the engine, as this will adversely affect the response, nor should it be too small. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast boxes, has five mounting points with M8 threads, and a barn plate network, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
