Description:

The intercooler is installed between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, a larger volume of air can enter the combustion chamber and more fuel can be burned, resulting in increased performance and efficiency. A lower charge air temperature reduces the thermal stress on the engine and the turbocharger, as the turbocharger requires less rotational speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced, and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust values, provided the engine control unit is adapted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler receives sufficient airflow. These coolers can be used for turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. When selecting an intercooler, it should be ensured that it is not too large for the engine, as this would negatively affect the response, nor should it be too small. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast housings, has five mounting points with M8 threads, and features a bar and plate core, making it ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
