Description:
The upgrade Intercooler is installed in the front, between the turbocharger and intake manifold. It is a direct replacement for the original intercooler. The goal of an intercooler is to cool down the air that has been heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned and increasing power and efficiency. A lower intake air temperature also reduces the thermal load on the engine and the turbocharger, as the turbocharger requires less rpm to achieve the same air mass. Additionally, fuel consumption is reduced and the engine may have slightly better exhaust emissions, provided that the engine control unit is adjusted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler receives sufficient airflow. The intercooler can be used on both turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. When selecting an intercooler, it is important to consider that it should not be too large for the engine, as this would negatively affect the responsiveness, and it should not be too small either. The offered intercooler is made entirely of aluminum with cast housings, has five mounting points with M8 threads, and features a bar and plate core design, making it ideal for motorsport and tuning applications. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar pressure before delivery.
