Description:

The upgraded intercooler is installed in the wheel arch, between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. It is a direct replacement for the original intercooler. The aim of an intercooler is to cool down the air that has been heated up by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned. This increases power and efficiency. Lower intake air temperature reduces thermal stress on the engine and the turbocharger as it requires less rpm for the same air mass. It also improves fuel consumption and provides slightly better exhaust gas values for the engine, provided the engine control unit is adjusted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler receives sufficient airflow. These coolers can be used with both turbocharged diesel and petrol engines. When selecting, it is important to choose an intercooler that is not too large for the engine, as this can negatively affect response, while an intercooler that is too small should also be avoided. The intercooler offered here is entirely made of aluminum with cast housings and features a bar and plate core, making it ideal for motorsport and tuning applications. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
