    Products description

    Scope of delivery:

    - Liquid-cooled intercooler, overall dimensions 360x490x115mm, 3.5" connections

    Suitable for:

    - Turbo engines up to 1200PS

    Description:

The liquid-cooled intercooler is installed between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air that has been heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more mass of air can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, resulting in increased performance and efficiency. The lower the temperature of the compressed air, the lower the thermal load on the engine and the turbocharger, as the turbocharger requires less RPM for the same mass of air. It also helps reduce fuel consumption and improves the engines exhaust emissions, provided that the engine control unit is adjusted accordingly. For liquid-cooled intercoolers, it is important to install a large cooling radiator with a pump. These coolers can be used in turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. When choosing an intercooler, it is important to ensure that it is not too large for the engine, as this will affect the response, but it should also not be too small. The liquid-cooled intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast housings and has a bar and plate core, making it ideal for motorsports and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
