Description:

The water-cooled intercooler is installed between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. The goal of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, and more fuel can be burned, resulting in increased performance and efficiency. The lower the intake air temperature, the lower the thermal load on the engine and the turbocharger because it requires less speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced, and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust emissions, provided that the control unit is adjusted accordingly. When using a water-cooled intercooler, it is important to install a sufficiently large water cooler with a pump. The coolers can be used in turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. When choosing, make sure that the intercooler is not too large for the engine, as this will affect the response. It should also not be too small. The water-cooled intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast casings and has a bar and plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning.
