    Description:

    With us, you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure that the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers who subjects the turbos to multiple qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top product. This includes a 1000-hour durability test on an engine in a Garrett Engineering laboratory, thrust bearing test, maximum tolerance of the bearing system check, material fatigue, a vibration test, etc.

     

    The Garrett GT and GTX series are all dual ball bearing, precision-balanced, and oil and water-cooled. There is also the older T series, which is mostly sleeve bearing. The GTX series differs from the standard GT in that they have a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades leading to greater output and slightly better response. Its important that ball bearing turbos do not receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm hole is used. A ball bearing turbo typically responds approximately 400-500 RPM sooner than a sleeve bearing one.
