Description:

Here, you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, ensuring you that the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to multiple qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top product. Among others, a 1000-hour durability test is conducted on an engine in a Garrett Engineering Lab, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked, as well as material fatigue, and a vibration test etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all dual ball bearing, fine balanced, and oil and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series which are mostly sleeve bearing. The GTX series differs from the regular GT in that they have a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades leading to more power and somewhat better response. It is important for ball bearing turbochargers not to receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used for the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbo responds approximately 400-500 RPM sooner than a sleeve bearing one.
