    Here you will receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source them from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to several qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top-notch product. For example, a 1000-hour durability test on an engine in a Garrett Engineering Laboratory, thrust bearing test, checking the maximum tolerance of the bearing system, material fatigue, a vibration test, etc., are performed.

     

    The Garrett GT and GTX series are all dual ball bearing, finely balanced, and oil and water cooled. There is also the older generation T series which are mostly sleeve bearing. The GTX series differs from the normal GT in that it has a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades leading to increased performance and slightly better responsiveness. Its important for ball-bearing turbos not to receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used. A ball-bearing turbo compares to respond approximately 400-500 RPM sooner than a sleeve-bearing turbo.
