    Description:

Here you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects its turbos to several qualification tests, meaning you always get a top product. This includes a 1000-hour durability test on an engine in a Garrett Engineering Lab, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is tested as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is conducted, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, precision balanced and oil and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series which are mostly sleeve bearing. The GTX series differs from the normal GT in that they have a special, larger compressor wheel with multiple blades which leads to more power and slightly better response. It is important with ball bearing turbochargers that they do not receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used for the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbo responds comparatively about 400-500 RPM sooner than a sleeve bearing turbo. When selecting the right turbocharger, ask us or make sure directly on the manufacturers homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There, all information like exhaust housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings are available.
