    Description:

Here you get an original Garrett turbocharger. We obtain these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects its turbos to multiple qualification tests, meaning you always get a top product. This includes a 1000-hour durability test on an engine in a Garrett Engineering Laboratory, thrust bearing tests, checking the maximum tolerance of the bearing system and material fatigue, a vibration test, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, precision balanced and oil and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series which are mostly journal bearing. The GTX series differs from the normal GT in that it has a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades leading to increased performance and slightly better response. It is important for the ball bearing turbochargers not to receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm hole is used. A ball bearing turbo reacts approximately 400-500 RPM sooner than a journal bearing one. For the selection of the right turbocharger ask us or verify directly on the manufacturers homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There, all the details such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings are available.
