    Description:

Here, you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, ensuring the turbos are genuine. Garrett is among the few turbocharger manufacturers that subject their products to multiple qualification tests, meaning you always receive top-notch products. Tests include a 1000-hour durability test on a motor in a Garrett Engineering Laboratory, thrust bearing tests, maximum bearing system tolerance checks, material fatigue, vibration tests, etc.

All Garrett GT and GTX series are dual ball bearing, precision balanced, and oil- and water-cooled. Theres also the older T series which are mostly journal bearing. The GTX series differs from the regular GT in that they feature a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades for increased performance and slightly better response. Its critical for ball bearing turbos not to receive too much oil pressure. Hence, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used. A ball-bearing turbocharger typically responds about 400-500 RPM sooner than a journal-bearing one. When selecting the right turbocharger, ask us or confirm directly on the manufacturers homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. It lists all details such as turbine housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings.
