    Description:

Here, you receive an original Garrett Turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, ensuring the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects its turbos to several qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top product. This includes a 1000-hour durability test on an engine in a Garrett Engineering Laboratory, thrust-bearing test, verifying the maximum tolerance of the bearing system, as well as material fatigue, and a vibration test among others.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all dual ball-bearing, precision balanced, and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series that are mostly sleeve bearing. The GTX series differs from the standard GT in that they have a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades, leading to more power and slightly better response. It is important for the ball-bearing turbocharger to not receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor  with a 0.9mm bore is used. A ball-bearing turbo is comparatively responsive about 400-500 RPM sooner than a sleeve bearing one. For the selection of the right turbocharger, ask us or ensure directly on the manufacturers website http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There, all information such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings are available.
