    Description:

Here you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We procure these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers who subject the turbos to multiple qualification tests, implying you always get a top product. A 1000 hour endurance test on an engine in a Garrett Engineering Laboratory is conducted, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked, as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is performed etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all dual ball bearing, precision balanced, and oil and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series which are mostly sleeve bearing. The GTX series is distinguished from the normal GT in that they have a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades which leads to more power and slightly better response. Its important with ball-bearing turbochargers that they do not receive too much oil pressure. Thus, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm hole is used. A ball-bearing turbo responds comparatively about 400-500 RPM sooner than a sleeve bearing one. When selecting the right turbocharger, ask us or verify directly on the manufacturers website http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There you will find all information such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings.
