    Description:

At our shop, you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, ensuring you get authentic turbos. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects turbos to multiple qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top product. A 1000-hour durability test on an engine in a Garrett Engineering Lab, thrust bearing tests, maximum tolerance of the bearing system checks, material fatigue, a vibration test, etc., are conducted.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, finely balanced, and oil and water cooled. Theres also the older generation T series which are mostly journal bearing. The GTX series differentiates from the standard GT by having a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades leading to increased performance and slightly better response. Its critical for ball bearing turbochargers not to receive too much oil pressure. Thus, an Oil Restrictor  with a 0.9mm hole is used. A ball bearing turbo responds approximately 400-500 RPM sooner than a journal bearing one. When selecting the correct turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturers homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There, you will find all information like exhaust housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings.
