- Metal Cylinder Head Gasket with Compression Reduction for Audi / Seat / Skoda / VW 1.8T Elring / Reinz
Description:
The special multi-layer metal cylinder head gasket (Multi Layer Steel) has a thicker and coated intermediary plate, thus already reducing the compression. The original is 1.22mm and the current one is 3mm. The gasket is from Elring or Reinz and the intermediary plate is a custom fabrication.
The new compression ratio varies depending on engine code:
Drilling diameter 82mm
(Attention only for 1.8T with performance enhancement or planned cylinder head to compensate!)
1.8T with basic compression 9.5:1
Compression ratio 8.23:1 with total thickness 3mm
1.8T with basic compression 9.3:1 (e.g. AGU )
Compression ratio 8.09:1 with total thickness 3mm
1.8T with basic compression 9.0:1 (e.g. AMK, AMU, APX, APY, BAM)
Compression ratio 7.87:1 with total thickness 3mm
