Description:

The upgrade intercooler is installed in the front, between the turbocharger and intake manifold. It is simply exchanged 1:1 with the original. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, thereby increasing the power and efficiency. The lower the charge air temperature, the lower the thermal load on the engine and the turbocharger since it requires lower RPM for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is reduced and the engine achieves somewhat better exhaust values, provided the control unit is adjusted accordingly. It is important that the intercooler receives as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used with turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. The offered IC is entirely made of aluminum with cast boxes and has a Bar`n Plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested to 5 Bar before delivery.
