The upgrade intercooler sits in the front between Turbocharger and Intake Manifold. It is swapped against the original on a 1:1 basis. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, thereby increasing performance and efficiency. The cooler the charge air, the lower the thermal load on the engine and turbocharger, as it requires less RPM for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced, and the engine may achieve slightly better emissions, provided the control unit is adjusted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler receives as much air flow as possible. The coolers can be used in turbocharged diesel and petrol engines. When selecting, it should be ensured that the intercooler is not too large for the engine, as this can affect response behavior, nor should it be too small. The offered intercooler is entirely made of aluminum with cast end tanks and features a Bar`n Plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested to 5 Bar before delivery.
