The upgraded intercooler is replaced by the original one. It is more stable since it is completely made of aluminum. The IC has 4 mounts for the original mounting points.

Description:

The upgraded intercooler is installed above the engine, between the Turbocharger and the Intake Manifold. It is simply exchanged 1:1 against the original. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass can enter the combustion chamber with the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, thereby increasing performance and efficiency. The lower the temperature of the charge air, the lower the thermal load on the engine and the turbocharger, since it requires less RPM for the same air mass. This also reduces fuel consumption and slightly improves the exhaust values, provided the control unit is adjusted accordingly. It is important that the intercooler receives as much airflow as possible. These coolers can be used with charged diesel and petrol engines. When selecting, it should be ensured that the intercooler is not too large for the engine, as this would affect the response behavior, nor should it be too small. The offered IC here is completely made of aluminum with cast boxes and has a Barn Plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 Bar before delivery.
